In the United States students are required to go to school until they are sixteen. May students disagree with this policy. I think it makes sense. Some students would dropout of school before High School or College with out this policy. Though some students have good reasons like needing to help their parents, some kids would take advantage of dropping out if there wasn't a policy.
This policy is good because then students can't drop out until they're older. And some students who may have wanted to drop out at the beginning of High School get a chance to change their mind. They can't just drop out in their first year and not be able to finish and graduate. With this policy students get a better chance to get to go to college.
In other countries many children don't get a chance to go to school at all. When they do they are thankful. Then here students can't wait to get out of school. So the policy can not only help kids here stay in school but maybe help other countries understand how important schools are. Many children in Nicaragua don't get to go to school we're taking it for granite so much that there are policies. So it shows other countries how much they need school and us that we should be thankful for it.
The policy is also good because it helps students get the best education they possibly can. It helps students understand that they might as well make the best of it because they are required to stay. And it helps teachers because if more students dropped out then they wouldn't need as many classes so they might have to cut a program or fire a someone. With more population schools need more teachers so that gives more people jobs.
This policy just reminds students how important school is. When student drop out they give up a High School and College degree which also means giving up good jobs where you need a degree. Without this policy there would be less teachers, C.E.O's, firemen, police, and many other jobs. The policy helps students stay in school and learn.
