Education In Nicaragua

In the United States students are required to go to school until they are sixteen. May students disagree with this policy. I think it makes sense. Some students would dropout of school before High School or College with out this policy. Though some students have good reasons like needing to help their parents, some kids would take advantage of dropping out if there wasn't a policy.

This policy is good because then students can't drop out until they're older. And some students who may have wanted to drop out at the beginning of High School get a chance to change their mind. They can't just drop out in their first year and not be able to finish and graduate. With this policy students get a better chance to get to go to college.

In other countries many children don't get a chance to go to school at all. When they do they are thankful. Then here students can't wait to get out of school. So the policy can not only help kids here stay in school but maybe help other countries understand how important schools are. Many children in Nicaragua don't get to go to school we're taking it for granite so much that there are policies. So it shows other countries how much they need school and us that we should be thankful for it.

The policy is also good because it helps students get the best education they possibly can. It helps students understand that they might as well make the best of it because they are required to stay. And it helps teachers because if more students dropped out then they wouldn't need as many classes so they might have to cut a program or fire a someone. With more population schools need more teachers so that gives more people jobs.

This policy just reminds students how important school is. When student drop out they give up a High School and College degree which also means giving up good jobs where you need a degree. Without this policy there would be less teachers, C.E.O's, firemen, police, and many other jobs. The policy helps students stay in school and learn.

Growing Up Essay

When I was younger I thought a lot of things where different. The way I think of things has changed as I have grown up. What I play with and who my friends are have changed over the years. There where also things I thought about that are different now.

When I was younger I played with barbies and baby dolls. I would take them where ever I went. Electronic toys have taken the place of those dolls. Now I use cell phones, D.S and computers.

I didn't like any vegetables when I was younger. I wouldn't eat any of them, now I'll eat green beans and sometimes broccoli. I still don't like peas at all but won't whine if I have to eat them. Vegetables are okay now.

"The president gets to make all the decisions", is what I thought when I was little. I thought we just voted for the president then he or she got to make the laws. Now I know there's governors and court people who help. They vote on what laws to pass. Also what to do with the country.

There where many things I thought where different when I was younger that have changed. As I grow even more some of my other views will change. My views on family or friends might stay the same. While my view on the country or world may change. As I grow how I think will change.

When I grow up.......

When I grow up I would like to be a teacher. I want to teach 1st grade because there still young and I like teaching addition and subtraction. I hope by the time I become a teacher it will pay more. If I don't teach 1st grade I would teach 3rd grade because then they're still young but not too young. I don't really know where I would want to teach.

Until I get there I'll probably work at a daycare or at some place with kids. If I work at a daycare I would want to work with the babies or toddlers they are young and cute. I will hopefully start babysitting so I have some more experience with kids. If I don't become a teacher I would still like to work with kids.

Other things I am thinking about are being a chef or an author. One day I would like to write a book. Also I like to design clothes so I may want to become a designer. Right now I want to be a teacher but it my change as I get older.
